As you'd expect, just like everything in this country - our prices have gone up, a lot. We never wanted to be one of those annoying companies like Virgin, Sky, electricity companies that say's "oh well, prices have gone up, what are you going to do about it". Which is why we have created a migration alternative.
We get it, your instant response might be "these guy's are taking the Michael". We can assure you, we're not - but if you would like to migrate your website to your own GoDaddy, IONOS, or any other platform and pay the fee's for SSL, hosting space, security, domain renewal, cloud backups etc yourself, we of course want to give you that option.
A grand total of £0 gross profit, give or take a few pence. We're not looking to become millionaires from hosting, we just offer it as a service. Hell - it's probably a loss leader more than anything. You genuinely wouldn't believe the amount of time and resources that go into it, if you want to keep your site secure. PHP updates, plugin compatibility test's before updating, memory management etc.
We promise you, we don't sell or recommend anything we don't think is worth it. If you know us, you know that. Having a personal server ensures that you will not be affected by anyone else on the server, meaning only you can affect the server's reputation and any bad actors will not affect you.
It also means you have your own resources allowing you to take full advantage of your servers specification, no other website can start using the resources and cause you unnecessary website slowness.
However, the main reason for this package is security. If one website gets hacked on your shared server, your website is wide open to having the same malicious injection code planted in your website, ready to be taken over and never recovered again. Whilst this has only happened 3 times in our 8 years - it has and does happen. However, with full plugin management, DNS, PHP updates as well as your own server, the chances are extremely low - but of course, never impossible.
Are lot of our clients are on retainers for marketing work, ads, socials, etc. So please ignore where it say's "one small website change per month". If you're on any form of retainer with us, as agreed, we're happy to update your website whenever.
You may also think, we pay Wise Agency 'X' per month already, why an extra £30 or £60 per month? We have let cost increases slide for so long as we don't like to take the mick, but this one will kill us if we don't do it.
